so you have a senior guy, huh?

As a boy mom myself I’m sure you’re likely getting lots of huffs and puffs at the mention of setting up a special session for senior photos. As a senior photographer in a mostly senior girl market I am here to tell you that senior guy photos are just as important as they are for the ladies.

That boy who stole your heart almost eighteen years ago is on the precipice of becoming a full on adult. A man about to take on the world. He has worked his whole life to get to this point and this is likely the last time he will be professionally photographed before his wedding day!

Now is the time to capture that young man smirk, that sport he’s dedicated all his years, that obnoxiously loud car/truck that will be so missed while it’s away at college next year, his favorite video game console that you have to bribe him to get off of, or even his childhood pet that grew up right by his side. Whatever it is that makes him who he is, is what we want to photograph and remember forever.

What to expect….

Sessions with DWP are a whole production! As a full service photographer I am here to guide you “from prep to print”. There are three stages to my client experience; planning, session, premier/ordering.

After you’ve booked your session and chosen a date we’ll figure out a date that we can sit and chat (via zoom). We’ll talk about all the things that we might want to include and figure out a little game plan for our day. We’ll talk about the sports or clubs your guy participates in, the hobbies and activities he might want to include….whether he wants to add a colorful smokebomb to any of the above. We’ll talk outfits and all the good stuff.

Session day is pretty self explanatory. We’ll have an idea of where we’ll be headed and we’ll just go around having fun getting all the good shots ; )

Premiere and ordering appointments take place about 2 weeks after our session to view the images and decide how you would like to display your guy’s images. As with the custom nature of DWP sessions, what clients take home is also tailored to each individual! We’ll get together I have many products to suit each client’s style and collections that I’ve put together to offer great savings to those interested in purchasing digital images as well as printed products.

All senior guy sessions have a $200 booking retainer due at the time of booking to reserve a date on the calendar.

This fee covers all pre-session planning, your 2.5 hour senior session and an in-person gallery premiere and ordering session.

As with the custom nature of your session, images and products are separate from the session retainer. What you order is fully tailored to your style and needs. We offer several collections of archive quality photo prints and products, as well as high resolution digital images.

A $600 minimum order investment is currently in place for all DWP portrait sessions.

*Senior guy sessions do not include professional hair & makeup as many opt out of it, but if your senior guys would like the extra pampering on his big day we can add the service for them! Session retainers with pro hair & makeup is $350.
